I was recently diagnosed with
bacterial vaginosis. Is this considered to be a sexually transmitted disorder?
Bacterial vaginosis is somewhat
of a mystery. It is common cause of symptoms in woman, but no one can definitely
say if this is sexually acquired. Many women who have not had oral, vaginal or
anal sex do test positive and many
women who have sex, are negative. At the moment, the current belief is that it
is not a sexually transmitted disorder. The good thing is that it can be
easily diagnosed and treated.
