Testing for chlamydia

How do I know if I have Chlamydia? I am a 22-year-old female and have met a new boyfriend but have not undertaken any precautions to prevent STDs.

Chlamydia is a very common STD and can infect both the male and female. If not treated, it can lead to damage of your sexual organs. The organism is acquired during anal, vaginal or oral sex. The major problem with Chlamydia is that in most cases there are no symptoms and many women are diagnosed late. Unlike other STDs, there is no discharge or systemic symptoms life fever or chills. Chlamydia infections are painless. If you think you have Chlamydia, see your doctor and get tested. Swabs are obtained from the vagina and sent to the lab. If positive, cure is very easy with medications. By the way, your partner should also be tested if you are positive.
